What sugar level is ok for diabetic .
My father is having diabetes past 20 years.He is now 67 years old. I want to know what is perfect ratio of sugar level that he has to maintain before food and after food.

It sugar levels depend on kidney and liver tests, in addition to duration of diabetes because goal is to prevent low sugar in the elderly patients In general, fasting sugars should range 90-120, and 2 hrs post meal/ PP 100-140, upto 160s is permissible . This is allow for Hba1c / 3 month average blood glucose of 3 months to be 7 %
