What is the viral fever treatment for child
I know fever, cold and cough are a common occurrences in small children. My boy aged 2years have been keeping ill oftenly which starts with cold and ends only after fever. What should be treatment given to 2year old child for viral fever? Is giving antibiotics a good option for the treatment?

You can give only symptomatic treatment.Antibiotic doesn't help in viral fever. Viral fever usually subsides in 5-7 days.

Viral fever is managed by symptomatic management and antibiotics don't have any effect on a viral fever. You should aim to keep him well hydrated, well nourished and try to maintain a high level of personal hygiene, which in turn should help improve his immunity as well.
