What is the treatment of postpartum depression
My postpartum depression is making it difficult to look after my new born. I constantly feel dejected, distracted from work and have negative thoughts about myself and my current lifestyle. I don’t wish to feel this way and want to provide for my little girl in the best possible manner. Do you know what is the treatment of postpartum depression?

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. I can understand your suitation. You are in the transition stage of your life and  getting into motherhood phase . Obviously you need to take additional responsibility, restrict lifestyle, compromise professional and career goal. While it's called a post partum depression, end of the day, it's a stress caused by  juggling with priorities and handling emotions. You can take a professional help to understand how to cope with this stress and still  balance between work/life priorities.
Next Steps
You can consult me directly or online through Practo for further detailed evaluation and suitable recommendation. Be positive. You will be alright soon.

I would need to know a few more details..whether you have a past history of the same, any medication tried earlier, whether breastfeeding or not Depending on the above, you might need to be started on medication while ensuring that you could still breastfeed For milder conditions, therapy also can be attempted
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist at the earliest
