Plz tell me about esr test in detail.my mother is diabets patient.My mother has esr problem.I want to know about esr problem.

ESR is done to find out the sedimention rate of red blood cells in a test tube.it is done to detect infection or inflammation in the body caused by infection, certain cancers and autoimmune diseases like arthritis However esr alone cannot be used to diagnose any one specific disease, others tests also need to be done to come to final diagnosis.
