The third obstetrical month of pregnancy ends and takes away morning sickness, irritability, weakness, and other symptoms of the
pregnant body restructuring into its new condition. The state of most pregnant women significantly improves; they enter a stage of well-being and enjoy every day of pregnancy. Some nervousness is still remaining, but it is no longer caused by poor health – rather, it is by special preferences of the woman and her desire to do things right so she does not to harm her child.
For the first time, the woman fully feels the reality of her situation, for the first time she sees her future child in the ultrasound examination. It is no longer in the form of a tiny point, but as a fetus looking like a little person. Constant thoughts about the future heir, dreams of pleasant changes in family life, and plans for the future occupy the woman's thoughts so much, that her nervous system is not able to quickly readjust and fully relax at night. In addition, women in this period still have feeling of tension in the abdomen from time to time. Sleep becomes broken, sensitive, and with colorful and sometimes disturbing dreams. It is very important for a pregnant woman to properly organize her bed, to get ready for bed in advance, to limit viewing of exciting TV programs, and to drink calming herbal tea before going to bed. A calm nervous system of the mother provides a comfortable environment for the fetus.
The growing uterus gradually increases its pressure on the blood vessels of the pelvis, from which the venous blood from the lower extremities is cut off. Particularly during pregnancy, women often notice dilatation of the subcutaneous veins of the lower leg. Crimped and filled with stagnated blood, subcutaneous veins can form blood clots and cause pulmonary embolism. Pregnant women suffering from varicose veins are recommended to use compression stockings during gestation. This avoids overflow of the leg veins. For the prevention of thrombus formation, doctors usually prescribe aspirin in minimal doses, and for strengthening of the walls of blood vessels - ascorbic acid,
vitamin and special external agents (phlebotonics).
Discharge from the genital tract
Discharge from the genital tract in healthy pregnant women should be moderate, light milky, homogeneous, with a slightly sour smell. Now, in the current week, in the presence of some diseases, it's time to undergo proper treatment. The fetus is already formed, the placenta is able to protect it from outside influence, so antibiotics will not cause any harm.
