What are FLASHES
I have been suffering from dry eye and computer vision syndrome for the past month. I also have developed a few floaters, 4-5 in right eye and 1-2 in left eye. I'm ALOs myopic for -2 and -2.25 in left and right eye respectively. Now the doctor has asked me to ignore floaters unless I see lightning streaks or flashing in my vision. But unfortunately I don't really understand what is it and exactly how I will recognise it if it happens. Kindly help me understand how to understand what flashing is and what is it like to experience so I'm aware.

Floaters are usually nonpathological.please learn to omit them since got your fundus examination done and your retina is ok hence you need not to worry.
