Hi, in this case, patient doesnt have the insight of the illness, means he is not aware of his illness. Such patients need medication for sure. If he is not willing to consult a psychiatrist, then you can consult one regarding his complaints. Medication can be prescribed accordingly.

Hi,
For making sure about the problem, you need to consult with a psychologist/therapist. For diagnosis, more details and information is required. If he doesn't accept to consult, is a big challenge, it means he doesn't think about treatment and till he doesn't want, you can't insist him and change him.
You can consult yourself with a psychologist/therapist and get help from them. In some cases if symptoms are sever, he needs to use medicine. You visit and consult with a psychologist, at least you get some idea what you can do in this situation.
Please do take care!
