Weight Loss unintentional
I am suffering unintentional weight loss (muscle loss), i have done Thyroid Function Blood Test. Result Came Total T3= 101 (Range =60-200), Total T4=7.2 (Range 4.5-12.0), TSH= 5.96 (Range 0.30-5.5) TSH is slightly higher, Doctor can you please tell 1.what this increased TSH means? 2.Did thyroid lead to weight loss or something else? 3.What will i do next? Thanks

TSH higher value means the thyroid gland need more stimulation to release thyroid hormones. So it's called Hypothyroidism condition. But you are on border line. You can take Thyrowell medicine for one month that contains essential chemicals for thyroid gland. It's not thyroid hormone tablet. It's just a supplement. You have to recheck thyroid once again after one month. For weight loss concern please check your blood sugar - fasting and post prandial. Also check HBA1C. Good luck.
