Hi I was diagnosed with GERD 7 months back and I had many courses of ppi. Now I don't use ppi or any antacid course since a month and eat normally .. but my weight has decreased around 7 kgs in these 7 months . Whatever I eat I don't Hain weight .

Hello, Yes, do not use antacids, it will worsen the condition. Do not eat spicy food. Do not lay down just after eating food, wait for an hour. Do not consume very hot or very cold food, it should be normal temperature. -Exercise daily for an hour or yoga -Include protein in your diet (taking protein rich foods post workout helps in muscle building and increase your weight/lean body mass) -Increase fiber in your diet (Will help you stay full) -Include fruits and vegetables in your diet (2-3 serving) -Take 5-6 meals a day. -Water intake of atleast 3L per day -Add healthy fat like nuts to your diet. -Avoid/Exclude fried, sugary and junk food -Eat a balanced and healthy diet -Do not skip breakfast as 40% of days energy is from breakfast NOTE: The above mentioned practices can change according to a specific medical condition
