For weight loss and even for Hypothyroidism changes in diet as well as lifestyle are very important as well as mandatory..
For weight loss...drinking warm lemon water on empty stomach first thing in the morning without the addition of
sugar or honey to it is suggested..
Next being more physically active both morning and evening by doing any kinds such as brisk walking, yoga asanas ( Surya namaskar), taking steps up and down, aerobics, zumba, Pilates anything ..but not gym as such..
Food wise for weight loss fiber rich diet, less carbs like brown or red rice half cup cooked, moderate protein, less fat, broken wheat upma for dinner , nuts like walnuts and almonds to be taken daily.. early dinner in between 7 to 8pm...and good relaxed sleep at night ...
Avoid , refined carbs, deep fried foods, fast foods, junk foods, less of saturated fat foods, less of coffee and tea..etc..
For Hypothyroidism
Timings are the same for all..for any condition ..
Early Morning: 6:00-6:30 AM:.
1 Glass /250 ml of Lukewarm water on Empty Stomach. ( After 5 mins have Flax seeds powder)
Breakfast: 8:00-8:30AM ; Mid Morning:10:30-11:00 AM ; Lunch : 12:30-1:30 PM; Mid Afternoon 1: 3:00-3:30 PM; Mid Afternoon 2: 4:30-5:00 PM ;
Evening Time Snacks : 5:30-5:45 PM; Dinner: 7:00-7:30 PM ; Post Dinner: 9:00-9:30 PM

FOODS NOT ALLOWED
Limit consumption of Fats ,
Avoid Caffeine , Tobacco and Alcohol.
All the Cruciferous Vegetables such as Brussels Sprouts , Broccoli , Cauliflower , Cabbage , kale , Kohlrabi , Spinach , Turnips should not be taken RAW. ( All the mentioned Cruciferous Family Vegetables to be consumed in the boiled and thoroughly cooked form only..No too much of Iodine Rich foods.
No to foods such as Health drinks , Refined Cereal , Refined flours , Junk foods , Fast foods , Instant ready mixes , Processed foods , Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils (such as Dalda ,Vanaspathi etc.).. and Nuts such as Cashew nuts , Pista Etc...

High Fiber foods be taken in Moderate Amounts..
Tomatoes and Bell peppers, Soybeans ..Seaweeds are good..
Coconut Oil 1 or 2 tsp daily reduces Fatigue.
Moderate amounts of Dairy products, legumes (Beans Varieties, Green Peas Etc)
3 to 4 litres of Clean Plain Room temperature water to be consumed in a day (or ) as per the weather conditions water to be consumed/ Chia seeds water also can be taken.
Pro-biotic and prebiotic Rich foods to be take ( such as Yogurt / Curd/ Kefir)
