Weight is 8.3 kgs
Her birth weight for 3.1 KG. No history of URTI or diarrhoea. Went for routine immunization, Doctor said weight gain was less, in January it was 7.7 Kg, now in April only 8.3Kg. What should be done.

Hi. I would just like to add few points for above query. Kindly see to it that you feed solid and semisolid food to child, rest fluids can be given as desired by baby. Mostly we observe that after 6months when baby started on outside food, their weight gain suffers sometimes, due to lack of some essential knowledge, on first time parents part.

Hello, normally in a baby on an average, it's weight triples the birth weight by the age of 1yr. Around nine kgs in your baby. It is good that 8.3 is not much less and baby is free of any infections. To increase weight of the baby, you just have to increase frequency of what you are feeding now, avoid any medicinal supplements.
