Eat high protein foods like soybean, paneer, egg whites. In ulcerative colitis there is much difficult to gain wt. Dnt take very hot n very cold food, juices canned or fresh, leafy vegetables, fried foods especially maida n spicy or burger pizza crossiats. Options like south indian without spices, Khaman Dhokla homemade like less chilly or lemon, plain dosa, salted veg dalia or oats (not packed), vermicilli(veg)...n lots more option. You just focus on avoiding those food items which makes affect bad on health..

Hi there....as you know few people have very high basic metabolism rate. It will be difficult for them to gain weight. Also one should remember gaining weight and losing weight is a very gradual process. It will a lot of time, patience and determination. You must follow a healthy diet and exercise schedule. Start having food rich in proteins like pulses, soyabeans, vegetables, fruits, egg whiteboiled , boiled chicken. Regarding exercises, start cycling or swimming or gyming, whatever you are comfortable with and enjoy most. You can also visit a dietician for further queries.
