Hi. Pregnancy weight gain is different for every expectant mother. If the fetal weight gain is fine, which is usually assessed by examination performed by your gynaecologist during your antenatal visits & on ultrasound all fetal parameters look fine, you should not worry about the maternal weight gain. Nonetheless, she should be taking a protein rich diet for good fetal weight gain. All the best!
