Hi.. some medications can cause weight gain. However there are medications which doesn't effect weight. Consult your treating psychiatrist for further management
You need to consult your psychiatrist, there are medications which don't increase weight much and those which can reverse the same. But if she stops without psychiatrist advise, she is likely to relapse with symptoms which will be more troubling. Consult an astute psychiatrist either in person or online and seek remedy. Good luck
Some antipsychotics can cause weight gain, do not leave the medication on your own, consult a psychiatrist to shift your mother on a different anti psychotic
Medicine will work on different receptors m sometimes it can increase your metabolic parameters.. just insist your mother for exercise that's only way or we may switch to other medicine that have lower side effect profile
