Drinking water in between meals does have a impact on your digestion. Drinking water in between causes quicker passing of food into and out of the intestine, leading to poor absorption. The food needs to pass through the digestive tract slowly for the body to be able to absorb all nutrients from it. Drinking water right before meals fills up your stomach and you tend to eat lesser than you actually would.
Next Steps
Drink water an hour before meals. You can sip on some water in case you feel thirsty in between meals, but don't make it a habit.
