Greetings. Warts usually are caused by a virus and they usually aren't as easy to treat as in by just plucking it. If you plucked it and it has healed and not recurred then it may not have been a wart mostly and might be just a skin tag. Licking a skin tag will not cause infection.  If it was a wart, some risk of infection does exist . further queries may be sent on follow up messaging. Warm regards.
