Want to stop medication
Thinking to stop medication i am taking sertaline 50mg for last 4month and am completely symptoms free from last 3 month. As i have to go back to Europe for my studies on 1st march am thinking to tap of the medicine. Please suggest

Hi.. Abrupt stoppage of medicine is not how things work. Do check with your treating consultant before making a decision to have a hassle free outcome

Hi it is good that you are well. Learn CBT skills. If possible get a book called mind over mood by Pedesky and read. Website called moodjuice is also good. In the meantime continue Medication, Consult a Psychiatrist and make a plan

You ll have to discuss with your Psychiatrist about this. Also, when Major changes are about to happen, it's not wise to stop medications. Plz discuss with your Psychiatrist and then take a call. Medicines have to be gradually tapered and stopped always.
