I'm taking treatment for depression from an Ayurvedic doctor. He gave me an ark & capsule(supragya) having medhya rasayan in it with ashwagandharisht. I'm much better but not completely fine. He is adding either vat kulantak ras or vrihat vat chintamani alternatively with honey. I just want to know the use of both and are they both used for same purpose? Does it help in depression? Which one will be better? Why is it added? plz ans in detail

Your doctor may be treating you nicely but for depression u should not be completely dependent on medications.
You should also concentrate on yoga , Naturopathy, meditation , life style modification etc.
Avoid tea coffee junk food etc.
See vaat is the main dosha in Ayurveda which aggravate other doshas so for these kind of problem we have to work on vata...so these medicines works good in that...but for detail amswer I required a detailed history.. because in Ayurveda not specific medicine for specific symptoms...medicines are changed or decided by the Doctor according to the condition of the patient....
Hi it does a wonderful job. Definitely doctor is doing a good job. As far as Ayurvedic Medicines are concerned it's very effective in combinations. So follow your doctor and see the Victory.
