Vision issue after RELex SMILE
I had Relex smile surgery 3 weeks ago. My vision is better than without glasses now but it is not crystal clear. I feel little blurryness. I am facing the problem when I am working with computers. For first 10-15 min my vision would be good(not crystal clear) but after that it's gets too blurry and I usually take a break for 10 min. Sometime i have observed as when I apply any of the eye drops that are given by the doc, when I put them the vision would be good but within15-20 min it gets blurry again. I hav I consulted for the second opinion and the other doc didn't say anything very clearly but gave artificial tear drops and mentioned the eyes are still healing. Now I am worried as is it a permanent problem that I have got after the surgery or is it a temporary dryness. Also along with the drops can you please let me know while working if I use the humidifier will it actually help me ?

Hi. Rest assured , this is absolutely normal to have. Post SMILE dry eye happens to almost all patients . The very fact that your vision improves on putting the drops indicates that the cause of the blurring is dry eye and nothing serious. Keep putting artificial tears 5-6 times a day currently. 70% of patients recover from dry eye within a month , 90% by 3 months and 100% by 4-6 months.
Next Steps
keep putting artificial tears
Health Tips
humidifier may or may not help. there is no evidence that it helps.
