Hi thanks to dr Vaibhav Mittal for answering my query. like many others I googled about lattice and it seems like there's a world of difference between what the doctors say and what, medical sites say about lattice . According to my doctors I have nothing to worry about and something that only needs precautionary monitoring and it's not something that will make me lose my vision . On the other hand according to many site sources on google I am destined to have a RD . I am a bit scared.

Lattice degeneration is common in high myopes, it needs regular monitoring and if it is associated with hole then barrage laser need to be done.
If your retina specialist is saying not to worry ,it means there would be no hole ,so he just advised you to be in follow up.
