Vildagliptin and Breastfeeding
Hello Doctor,
I'm diabetic and my doctor suggested me Zukanorm 50 - 500mg twice daily.
I asked him if it is safe to breastfeed my 18 months old daughter. He said it is safe.
Just wanted to get a second opinion as this tablet contains vildagliptin.

Metformin is safe during breast feeding. However the safety of vildagliptin during lactation has not been studied adequately and therefore not recommended if one is breast feeding
