Namaskaram, The inflammation u observed is due to Gingivitis. Swollen gums happen due to the deposition of the oral cavity minerals and microbes. This is called plaque which hardens and turns into calculus. These hard deposits irritate the gum and can not be removed with normal brushing techniques .They should be removed using professional instruments which are very safe and painless. kindly visit a dentist and get a detailed examination done for a better treatment.
