Is it necessary to get polio drops and vit -A oil everytime during govt camps if the child is already up-to-date with all his vaccines as per chart at pvt hospital? He is up-to-date with his polio IPV and OPV and the next dose as per chart is at 4-6yrs. Has not taken vit-a oil since paediatrician said it's not compulsory.

Vitamin A is usually present in supplements so not necessarily needed but it better to go for the polio drops as they give additional protection and prevention of polio infection. POLIO DROPS are recommended under 5years of age

we have to give OPV drops as per mass vaccination campain eventhough babies are full vaccinated as per their schedule, not to break the goverment vaccine protection strategies
