Uti pain and burning sensation
My father was diagnosed with high sugar level of 408 after pp and 250 fasting. He got uti from past 2 days and started on nitrofurantoin from yesterday for uti but he is having severe pain and burning sensation while urinating which is unbearable. How much time it takes to get relief from uti. He is taking metformin also started from yesterday.please suggest.

Sugars are very high without controlling sugars infection won’t come under control. So since sugar is very high need to start on insulin monitor sugars regularly. For uti need to go for urine culture sensitivity if not done already. Some times in uncontrolled diabetes complicated uti like pyelonephritis also can occur (kidney infection). Need to do a ultrasound as well.
