Give proper history what medicine you are taking. Do fasting and post prandial blood sugar. If your HbA1c is 12.2 them you need to take insulin

Headache can occur with very high blood sugars, but severe headache should not be thought just because of diabetes alone. A random glucose of 380 mg/dL and HbA1c of 12.2% indicate uncontrolled diabetes.
If you have vomiting, altered sensorium, breathing difficulty, or dehydration, seek emergency care immediately.

Tests like c peptide and insulin levels etc have to be done. Pl consult immediately. If you are already taking oral drug’s, better to go for insulin, till sugar levels are controlled. Pl consult.

If you are not taking any medicine for this , then start with oral anti diabetes drugs otherwise control with Insulin under supervision
