UTI infection and Medication
Hi I have contracted UTI infection. My Urine Routine test says 6-8 pus cells. Serum Creatinine 1.1mg/dl. Urine Culture says klebsiella Series Bacteria and sensitive to only few medication. I was prescribed Amikacin 750mg injection for 7 days and fosfomycin 3mg Sachet once. Today morning I took fosfomycin Sachet along with water and today evening I took Amikacin injection through IV. I have loose motions as an side affect. It's still first day of treatment. Pls advise wat to do. Pls advise if this is serious

Diarrhoea can be explained due to fosfomycin. it’s a one day course. So you completed the medicine anyway. It wine self limiting. For electrolyte imbalance due to loose motions consult any near by doctor
