Most medicines after expiry date loose some potentiality. They will not turn into poison. Externally used medicines can be used , but their efficacy is questionable.

A medicine is BEST Effective till the date of expiry. Most of them do not show much effect after that. Although preparations like diclofenac gel with menthol combinations haven't been enlisted ro cause any significant harm, esp on local application, but still, we may not be able to comment upon the efficacy.
