Hello doctor , My mother is suffering from since 5 years , i took her to top most hospitals but there is no cure for my mother, what is the problem i am not understanding. i need a proper treatment for my mother.

Hi Your mother seems to be having chronic intermittent urticaria. In some people this can be a manifestation of underlying systemic diseases like thyroid dysfunction or infection etc. However in most people it tends to be of auto immune etiology. That means for some reason the anti bodies in your mother are attacking her. Treatments as such is only symptomatic like oral antihistamines. These do not have side effects and can be continued for reasonable periods of time. However if urticaria is uncontrolled you need to reconsult the dermatologist
