Urinary tract infection for 1 yr old boy
My son having urinary tract infection and high fever, took urin and blood tests, doc advised to give taxim O 50 mg, 5ml 2 times a day. Even after giving 2 doses of antibiotic and paracetamol the fevel level still shows 102.4 F. Pl advise, is this normal or should we consult again.

Hi ...if the child is having high fever then it is better to give antibiotic injections and then give syrup once the fever comes down ..since oral antibiotics have already been started ,you can wait for 24 hours(4 doses)  and see your doctor if fever does not settle ... If he is not feeding well or having vomiting  then you must see doctor immediately...
