Uric acid calculi in right ureter
In Nov 2015 my husband went through a lithotripsy and DJ stenting to remove the 24 mm stone. In about 9 months time the stone reoccurred in the same kidney measuring 8.7 mm and he went through the same process again. in April 2017, the calculi reoccurred and the same procedure was conducted again. He has had this 3 times in less than 2 years and we have no answer for why the stone is reoccurring. All we know is the cause of the stone is due to uric acid. Pls suggest a doctor in Bangalore.

As you said that the cause of recurrent stone formation is higher uric acid, he needs to be completely stone free during each stone episode as the risk of stone formation within a short interval increases if there are residual stones in the urinary tract.
Next Steps
need to take at least 3-4 litres of water no added salt in diet Restricted protein intake especially red meat potassium magnesium citrate supplements daily
