5 mm is a borderline calculus. And 1 dimension of calculus is not predictable of passing. We need info on all 3 dimensions and shape of calculus to know if there is chance of passing. Even a stone of 2-3 mm if causing oedema and inflammation may not pass and a large stone but length wise only may pass easily.
