Urgent Help
Hi, I am pregnant for 24 weeks. I have 2 kids, both pregnancies were normal. This pregnancy till now was normal, but today I noticed fresh bleeding like periods that made me worried. It lasted for about 15 min. Immediately, I got the ultrasound done. The report show good growth of baby, movements and heart beat. Other parameters are normal. But, it shows marginal placental separation. There is no abdominal trauma, laborious work or exertion that could result in that. I contacted my gynae and was suggested daflon 500 and trenaxa for 3 days and susten 200 twice a day and proluton depot 250 weekly. There is no bleeding since the first episode and I am on complete bed rest. Please suggest what else needs to be done and how it will effect my baby.

At 24wks bleeding  could be harmful and a sign of threatening abortion or. a low lying placenta.  You need to go on strict bed rest, medication, tests, ultrasound and followup

Seperation can occur due to multiple reasons. One of them is trauma/ sternous exercise/ bending too much. Also It can be due to raised blood pressure or due to some pathology of placenta itself. Take complete bed rest. Monitor Blood pressure daily. Also get your blood reports done. Also please check for Placental site. Sometimes low lying placenta/ Placenta Previa can lead to spontaneous seperation. Follow your Gynec's advice. Furthur episodes can occur so be careful and consult Gynec immediately if it occurs again.
