URGENT: Bilirubin level 13 on 7th day
Baby was born on 27th Sept. at the gestational age of 34 weeks. Baby was kept in NICU, under the phototherapy since day 2. Discharged on Sept. 1st (day 5) PFB the bilirubin level(in mg/dl) throughout the week. On day 2 - 13.57 On day 3 - 11.57 On day 4 - 9.13 On day 5 - 8.77 Doctor prescribed to re test the bilirubin after 48 hours of discharge date. on day 7 - 13.21 mg/dl. Baby is passing water coloured urine and yellow stools at regular intervals. Local paediatrician suggested to keep the baby under sunlight. Please let me know why the bilirubin level increased again over 2 days . And also let me know if this is a matter of concern, which needs any immediate medical attention. What to do in order to bring the bilirubin level down to the normal. Test reports are attached for your reference. Thanks.
