I have been experiencing an upper back paim from past 4 months or so. This is not a constant pain and it only occurs randomly. I feel like there is a stinging sensation in my upper back towards the side, this surely does not seem like a regular back problem to me. Does the posture come into consideration here?

If you sit with unsupported back for longer time it does cause fatigue and upper back pain
Get a orthopaedic opinion regarding Ergonomics and basic exercise to keep yourself fit
Try to sleep for 7-8 hours in night
