Hi. Greetings. The following would help you : 1. Daily use of sunscreen in day time of SPF 30 applied half hour before sun exposure 2. Daily bed time use of Peeling agents and skin lightening agents prescribed by dermatologist for reducing tan and improving your natural skin colour and reducing spots. 4. Evaluation by dermatologist for Chemical Peels and microdermabrasion - this will indeed help. 5. Kindly read my blog on daily skin care on Practo health feed. 6. Daily fitness work out and loads of fruits and veggies will help loads in improving your skin. Hope this helps. I DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENDORSE EXTRA FAIRNESS TREATMENTS. TREATMENT OF SKIN TONE IS LIMITED TO IMPROVEMENT TO ONE'S ORIGINAL COMPLEXION. Warm regards. Dr Govind S Mittal, excel care hospital, Bangalore.

Outdoor activities make our skin tan. The only option is to wear protective full sleeves clothing and cover as much as possible. Usage of a cap or hat and umbrella is encouraged. Skin already tanned can be treated with de-pigmenting creams and other oral medications. A good skin care regimen comprises 4 steps - cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sun block. Based on your skin type, a dermatologist will recommend you appropriate products.
Next Steps
Your dermatologist will decide a treatment plan for you after a consultation.
