Unable to start conversations
I feel like I have lost the ability to communicate with people. I can make small talk about the weather and stuff like that, but I feel like I've lost my openness and humor with people. Also, now a days I can communicate with my best friends as well. I feel lost all the time. Is this a sign of depression?

It could be due to various reasons... Sometimes, what we generally feel as silly reasons, those only affect us deeply. I suggest you to seek a professional support. Consult a psychologist.

It is possible what you’re experiencing is because of anxiety and depression. There could be many reasons for the same like distressing experiences in the past, major life transitions, work related problems, or relationship issues. Often heredity also plays a role. If you’ve been experiencing these for over a period of 2 months now, you need to consult a mental health professional like a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist. These kind of problems are treatable with therapy and medication. You can choose to consult a specialist here at Practo or visit one in person. Good wishes
