Hi Practo user,
After an accident whether it is minor or major it is quite normal to feel scared to drive again . If accident has happened some time back and you are still not able to get the confidence and courage to drive ... then it is always helpful to talk to some expert who can processes your thoughts and feelings . As mentioned Cognitive behaviour therapy is very helpful.

Health Tips
In the meantime you can try driving short distance ( in ground or where less traffic) with some expert driver beside you. Thanks take care
Dear Practo user
I understand that it must be difficult for you to get back to driving after having an accident but try it with someone known it would gradually go down.
It seems that the past experience of accident might have been associated with fear of driving the car which might be contributing to low motivation or courage to learn it.
You could consult a clinical psychologist who may explore the fear issues & suggest techniques for the same.
Next Steps
Consult a Clinical Psychologist
Health Tips
Observing the barriers to learn car, asking parent/friend to assist short distance driving sessions, being physically active, relaxation techniques like deep breathing and meditation might be helpful.
