Unable to apply Emotional intelligence
Hi All, Recently I have been hearing lot about Emotional intelligence quotient (EQ) which is essentially for anyone to manage your own and other emotions and manage them well and went through lot of videos of same, however in reality it looks impossible to apply the knowledge and manage emotions, at times feel like IQ which cannot be changed in most of the times I am presuming that even EQ is also something should get by born largely and will have little scope to improve. I'm not fully confident that I will be able to attain EQ though I'm completely aware of the things but in practicality becoming unconscious and failing to apply and outbursts happening at times, I'm in a kind of helpless situation and blaming myself for this pity situation and situations are completely becoming out of control. Pls help me any suggestions and also howbwe can practice to improve EQ very smoothly and to reach a stage of well managing emotions and to lead a happy and successful life. Thanks!

First thing is to stop following all these terms. These terms have their own pitfalls. Rather you should focus more on accurately describing your problems in words or by writing it down. That is usually the first step. Working with an expert helps because most of the time there are undiagnosed underlying problems which could be causing it.

Sometimes it happens that being overconscious about our emotions we fail to deal with them properly. First you have to narrate in detail what kind of outbursts you are experiencing & at which times? Also state how do you feel yourself inadequate in dealing with such emotions?
