It is recommended to bathe the baby only after the cord has fallen off. Keep the area dry. Do not apply anything over the cord. Can cause infection. It will heal gradually.
Consult a pediatrician in case of fever, discharge, bleeding.

Usually it is recommended not to give a bath till cord falls off. But since you have already given, don’t panic. Hope you have dried the area and kept it clean. The red bump is to be kept clean and dry. Please do not use any home remedies and if you feel it is spreading or itching or even if you are doubtful please go to your paediatrician.
