Ultrasonic deep cleaning
Hi all, upon looking at my Dental OPG the doctor had suggested to go with Ultrasonic deep cleaning 2 sittings. And she clearly said she won't give any anestecia for gums. Will the ultrasonic deep cleaning effective and can hurt during the process?

Hello, Ultrasonic scaling is an effective method of deep cleaning your teeth. It does not hurt generally but if it does you can inform your doctor and she will put an anaesthetic cream which reduces sensitivity of gums.
Next Steps
To prevent plaque and calculus buildup you can use contemporary methods like oil pulling and water pik.

Ultrasonic scaling is a regular dental procedure which should be done every 6 months by every individual. It is very essential for the overall well being of teeth, gums, periodontium and oral bones. It is a painless procedure. If not done gingivitis and periodontitis cause permanent damage.
