Typhoid fever
My 2 yr old child has been diagnosed with typhoid fever... it has been 6 days since she got unwell... today after taking test we came to know abt typhoid... so we started with cefpodoxime oral suspension 100 mg 5 ml per day for 7 days.... i want to know is this correct dosage and correct medicine for her? her weight is 9.5 kg.... its been 6 days so i dont want further complications or delay in her treatment and want her to get well soon... pls guide as soon as possible

Yes. If fever doesn’t settle then IV antibiotics might be better
