My daughter is having type 1 diabetes and sugar levels are ranging from 150-200 whether islet transplantation can help to cure diabetes ? Whether it is safe to go for islet transplantation??

As of now please continue your existing insulin regimen Strictly adhere to diet and walking about thirty minutes daily

Hi, islet cell transplantation is still an experimental procedure, there are many risks including use of immunosuppressive medicines, you would probably need to register in a clinical trial for proper evaluation as to whether your child can get islet cell transplantation Karma at present I would not suggest it as a first line treatment
