Chiari Malformation Type 1
My 15 month daughter was delay in walking, so we have been suggested for MRI, Now MRI impression is " Bilateral descending tonsilar peg herniation seen by about 6mm into upper cervical canal causing mild compression over cervicomedullary junction= s/o Arnold chiari malformation type 1, No evidenceof hydrocephalus seen.No evidence of syrinxseen in upper cervical cord." Now my Question is that is this Curable aur any Difficulties may be occurred in future ... What I have to do in such case

It is not curable unless we operte. If no problem wait and watch. Consult neurosurgion.

This is a congenital  deformity .Not curable though .You can be in touch with the pediatrician  for development  assessment  and progress.
