Insulin usage is safe while breast feeding. It does not pass through your breast milk. You need to control your sugar levels. If you miss your medication, you will be at risk. That said, it will not in turn affect your baby. Your child has an increased risk to develop diabetes in the future. It is not an inherited disease though.
