Tuberculosis treatment
I was put on therapeutic trial for tuberculosis since last two months with standard HRZE Régime. I have completed intensive phase with no relief in fever, weakness and fatigue. My all investigations(X Ray, C.T, Pet were normal ,also blood test, biochemistry, serology are normal. Only montoux test was positive. Should I seek another opinion? Is it worthy to continue with this treatment? I was told this therapeutic trial will yield result in 4to 5 weeks if I have t.b.infection in any part of body.My all investigations were Negative for t.b. were Negative except mantoux. How long this treatment will take to give me relief. I have already completed 2 months of extensive phase.

Send me the reports.. that you have to complete continuous phase also sometimes it happens that despite having proper intake of medicine that is HR Z E sometimes Mountx test can come positive, sputum test comes positive. it is because you might be having multidrug resistant TB. apart from this you should not worry about the treatment because this is the only treatment available, even if you go to any other doctor he or she will prescribe the same regimen for tuberculosis. I would suggest you to not stop the treatment in between as it will cause you more damage than expected I hope you understood my explanation apart from this if you have any doubt just consult Online
