Paracetamol can be used to relieve fever . Minimum of 4 to 6 hours of gap between two doses (500mg each dose) is considered safe for low grade fever seen in tb patients . Should not be used more than 4 times a day as it’s overdosing can cause serious side effects . Do consult your family physician or chest physician about how often to use it and in what doses . If there is no known contraindication for paracetamol , it should be safe to use it for fever .
