Tsh is 4.8, planning pregnancy
My TSH is 4.8 and I am planning for pregnancy. Do I need to start thyroid medicine and what does needs to be taken. Also pls suggest can I immediately start planning for preg after taking thyroid medicine or need to wait for few months to start planning. I am attaching report. I am 33.5 yrs old.

The value of tsh has to be less than 2.5. You can take medication and try for pregnancy.

TSH should be below 2.5 when planning for pregnancy. Consult endocrinologist for thyroid treatment.
