Trigeminal Neuralgia

Asked for Male, 58 Years

My father is suffering from trigeminal neuralgia from last one month..he is chronic patient of this disease.. but presently he is suffering from sever pain... currently we are taking treatment from Delhi government hospital from last month, they diagnosed TN and TMD both..so prescribed mazetol tablets, and Hifenac tablets.. and applied splint for whole day and night... Can someone advice us better..

There are various options available for refractory TN to carbmazepine. Mostly second line anticonvulsant and some muscle relaxers as well.
