TRIFOCAL CATARACT SURGERY BLURRY
My mother's right eye was operated for cataract and a trifocal triphobic hd lens was implanted on October 20, 2021. But even after 3 months since surgery her vision is still blurry and she is not happy. She is experiencing bright glares and her intermediate and distance vision is not at all good. There are no other complications. She has dry eye and hence is prescribed resync eye drops and multivitamin megatotal 11g. What should we do now?

Mild Glares and Haloes especially in evening is common with these implants and she should adjust to this in sometime. If the vision is not clear, consult your eye doctor to rule out any other associated eye problem, if needed verify the scans again. If there is no other problem then encourage her and give her some time to adapt to this lens

Please give her some time to get adjusted to the new IOL. Mild amount of glare in halos can remain with Trifocal lenses. If she is extremely symptomatic then IOL replacement can be done. But usually it is not advised.

Two possibilities. Firstly, there may be some other underlying eye problems of the retina or the nerve which can cause this. It such situations treat the cause. Second. Some people do not adjust to trifocals and we can remove the IOL and replace with a mono focal.
