Depends on the pigmentary problem. In general tretinoin can be used long term as an antiaging cream and to maintain results if skin lightening. Be sure to use sunscreen and reapply sunscreen every 3 to 4 hours. Give tretinoin free breaks if the skin is pink or very dry. Consult a dermatologist for your skin condition as tretinoin is a prescription medication.
